Revisiting The Good Place
Michael Schur's sitcom The Good Place (2016-2020). The premise revolves around Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) being mistakenly placed in the afterlife's Good Place. Leading her to seek help from her "soulmate," moral philosophy professor Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper), to earn her spot. The cast includes Tahani Al-Jamil, Jason Mendoza, Michael, and Janet. The show is well known for its famous Season 1 plot twist: the four humans are actually in The Bad Place. And Michael is a demon architecting a new form of torture. The subsequent three seasons follow the characters as they heal from trauma, improve themselves, and learn the true meaning of what it means to be a good person.
